More Light On Integrability, Symmetry, And Utility As Potential Energy In Mirowski's Critical History
History Of Political Economy
This paper criticizes Philip Mirowski's discussion of Slutsky conditions, integrability, and prices as a conservative field in More Heat than Light (1989). It argues that despite such criticism, a weaker version of Mirowski's position can still be defended and that such a weaker version could continue to support Mirowski's general thesis about the relationship between neoclassical economics and energy physics.
