Abstract
Practicing school counselors and administrators, who had taken a course several years earlier in which they were oriented to each other's roles, were surveyed about their perceptions of the school counselor's role. Both groups tended to agree with statements that were congruent with current role standards, but the administrators were more likely than the counselors to endorse the role-incongruent statements.
