Abstract
The article presents on the power of memory. The topic is examined through the life of the author's aunt, whom lived in a Victorian house in Wisconsin for 60 years of her life. Particular focus is given to the author's observation that her aunt lived primarily through her imagination, images of the past and others' experiences. The philosophies of Augustine, bishop of Hippo, are also explored.
