Abstract
The article informs about a symposium on the Makah Whale Hunt by the students from the Science and Math Institute that was held in October 2011. It mentions that this activity enables the students to provide historical thinking by merging interactive discourse and content knowledge. It also informs that the activity led to to interdisciplinary connections and collaborations and enabled the students and faculty to make links to mathematical thinking of changes in gray whale population.
