Abstract

Instagram offers a unique platform for artists to share completed works, ideas, motifs, and in this case, subject matter. Of all the people I could have chosen to draw on Instagram, this radiant individual drew my attention. She exudes body positivity, confidence, and self-empowerment. To me, this woman is awesome, and her blatant disregard for normative ideas of beauty ought to be admired. For instance, she’s wearing an enormous sweatshirt, and yet she manages to maintain an aura of being comfortable in her own skin and absolutely glowing from the knowledge and acceptance of her innate beauty.
