Abstract
Christian ideas, ideals, and themes are prevalent throughout pop culture made in the United States. In May the Force Be with You…And Also With You, Kent explores the ways in which Christian imagery, ritual, and beliefs find a home in one of the most iconic franchises of all time, Star Wars. Utilizing Durkheimian and Geertzian theory, Kent brings an anthropological lens to this study of religion, media, and the impact of their relationship on viewers.
