Towards Understanding the Mechanisms of Flower Reversion in Arabidopsis suecica

Amelia Asbe, University of Puget Sound

Abstract

Arabidopsis suecica is an allopolyploid hybrid descendent of A. thaliana and A. arenosa with a propensity for floral reversion. Floral reversion is a process where flowers produce vegetative tissue or additional floral buds from the inside of a pre-existing flower. For my summe research I investigated the causes of the floral reversion in A. suecica and presented my findings on September 8th.
