Aims & Scope

The Race & Pedagogy Journal supports the work of the Race and Pedagogy Institute at the University of Puget Sound and aims to:
  • Promote exemplary diversity models through scholarship, teaching and engagement across constituencies, and efficacious, innovative action.
  • Weave together scholarship and action in order to reduce racism and improve pedagogical practices at all educational levels.
  • Build alliances among universities, schools, and communities.
  • Increase awareness of individuals as teachers and learners to recognize and address personal and structural racism.
